About GMC Scout
GMC Scout is a Shopify storefront scanner for merchants dealing with Google Merchant Center suspensions, misrepresentation reviews, appeals and product disapprovals. It is operated by Tagan Labs LLC (30 N Gould St, STE R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA) and built by Terry Ecom.
GMC Scout is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with Google. Google alone makes all Merchant Center approval and enforcement decisions.
The product is Shopify-only. We never connect to Merchant Center, never read or rewrite a product feed, and never submit an appeal for you. The free scan counts issues and groups them into categories. Unlocking a report (€49, once) shows titles, evidence, affected URLs, fix guidance and a PDF. One free scan per 24 hours. GMC Scout checks 70+ technical, policy and trust signals commonly associated with Google Merchant Center approval, misrepresentation reviews and store-quality assessments.
A scan stores the store URL you paste, the public pages we fetch, and the report on your account. We never log into Merchant Center or read your product feed. We do not sell this data or send it to Google. Hosting is Render; the database and login are Supabase; page fetching may use a crawl proxy; a language-model provider reads policy-page text to extract shipping, returns and contact fields; email is sent by Resend; payment, if you unlock a report, is processed by Stripe (we do not store card numbers). Reports stay on your account until you ask us to delete them at support@gmcscout.com. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
