Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GMC Scout, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our service.

2. Service Description

GMC Scout provides automated Google Merchant Center compliance scanning for Shopify stores. Our service analyzes your store and generates compliance reports.

Important: Our reports are for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee Google Merchant Center approval. Final approval decisions are made by Google.

3. User Obligations

You agree to:

• Only scan stores you own or have explicit permission to scan
• Not abuse the service through automated scanning or excessive requests
• Provide accurate information when creating your account
• Keep your account credentials secure
• Not resell or redistribute our reports without permission
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You may NOT:

• Scan stores without authorization
• Use the service for illegal purposes
• Attempt to reverse engineer our technology
• Interfere with or disrupt the service
• Use automated tools to access the service
• Resell reports or access to the service

5. Payment Terms

• Prices are billed in USD, EUR or GBP depending on your location (same numeric amounts across currencies) and are subject to change with notice
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe
• All sales are final: One-time report unlocks are non-refundable except as described in our Refund Policy
• Report unlock: $49 one-time, per report. Unlocks full finding details, evidence, affected URLs, fix guidance, and the PDF for that report only. Does not include additional scan credits; free-tier scan limits still apply. There is no subscription and nothing renews.
• Legacy monthly plans and credit top-up packs were withdrawn on August 20, 2026 and can no longer be purchased. Subscriptions started before that date continue at their original price until cancelled, are not prorated on cancellation, and may be cancelled at any time. Credits already purchased are tied to your account and cannot be transferred.
• Free tier: 1 scan per account per 24 hours, on any domain. Abuse of the free tier (e.g., automated scripting or creating multiple accounts to bypass the limit) may result in suspension.

• You are responsible for all applicable taxes

6. Intellectual Property

Our Rights:

• GMC Scout owns all rights to the platform, technology, and branding
• You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works

Your Rights:

• You retain ownership of your store data
• Reports generated are licensed to you for your internal use
• You may not resell or publicly distribute reports

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement
• Accuracy or completeness of reports
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• We are not liable for business decisions based on our reports
• We are not liable for Google Merchant Center approval or rejection
• Maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tagan Labs LLC from any claims arising from:

• Your use of the service
• Your violation of these terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account if:

• You violate these terms
• You engage in fraudulent activity
• Required by law

You may cancel your account, or any legacy subscription, at any time. See our Refund Policy for details on cancellation terms.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or through the service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Dispute Resolution

Governing Law: These terms are governed by the laws of Wyoming, USA.

Arbitration: Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Wyoming, except for intellectual property disputes.

Class Action Waiver: You agree to resolve disputes individually, not as part of a class action.

13. Miscellaneous

• Entire Agreement: These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Tagan Labs LLC
• Severability: If any provision is invalid, the rest remains in effect
• No Waiver: Failure to enforce any right does not waive that right
• Assignment: You may not assign these terms without our consent

14. Affiliate program

Logged-in users may join the GMC Scout affiliate program and receive a unique referral link.

• You earn 30% of each subsequent payment that a referred account makes to GMC Scout, for the life of that account.
• The referred buyer pays the listed price. Affiliates do not issue discount codes.
• Payouts are requested in your affiliate dashboard and paid manually. We may refuse self-referrals, fraud, or banned accounts.
• You must disclose the commercial relationship when you promote GMC Scout.
