How a Google Merchant Center appeal works

Google publishes the clocks. It does not publish a success rate. The costly mistake is spending a review attempt on a half-fixed store.
If you have a warning
For most violations Google sends a warning email and gives 7 or 28 calendar days to fix the issue. Products may keep showing during that window, sometimes with limited visibility.
Fix inside the window and the account is automatically reviewed at the end of the period. You can request one courtesy review during the warning. If the window closes unresolved, the account may be suspended and you must request re-review.
If you are already suspended
The suspension does not expire. It stays until you meet the requirements and Google reinstates you. Account reviews typically take up to 7 business days. Approved products can show again within 24 hours.
Misrepresentation reinstatement is described as compelling circumstances only. Do not open a new Merchant Center account, delete the suspended account, or move the catalogue to a fresh domain as a workaround — those paths escalate the problem.
What to do before you click request review
Run a storefront audit against Google’s published list: identity consistency, policy links with real terms, working destinations, HTTPS checkout. Re-scan after you change theme, apps or policy copy. Then request review once.
Practitioner reports of lengthening cooldowns after rejected appeals are not Google-published policy. We do not state them as rules. The conservative move is the same either way: do not burn an attempt on a store that still fails the audit list.
FAQ
How long does a review take?
Google says account reviews typically take up to 7 business days, and approved products can show again within 24 hours. We do not publish a “typical reinstatement date”.
How many times can I appeal?
Google publishes one courtesy review during a warning period. It does not publish a lifetime appeal cap. We will not invent one.
Should I appeal immediately after a small fix?
No. Fix the storefront against the full audit list first. A review on a half-fixed store costs days of downtime and another attempt.
